Capitalism has many wonderful qualities. At the same time, there is a great need for responsible leadership and attention to the intangible 'bottom line', being socially, morally and environmentally responsible.
As Dr. Andrew Saul says: "Nutrition makes sense, but it does not make dollars" for the pharmaceutical and medical industries.
Reportedly the pharmaceutical industry spends over $62,000 per year, per doctor, on propaganda, to brainwash the doctors into believing that their pharmaceuticals are safe and beneficial. When consulting with doctors, consider where their information is coming from. Ask whether it is from sound science or pharmaceutical industry propaganda. Ask whether nutrition and detoxifying make more sense, for restoring your immune system, and re-creating vibrant health. Dare to use your common sense.
Each of us, to protect our own health, must seek the truth, and question what the pharmaceutical and chemical companies, the dairy industry, and others spend millions, if not billions of dollars, putting out to get us to believe that their products and services are safe and good for us. We need to do some critical thinking and use our common sense, do some research into alternatives.
T. Colin Campbell, PhD, covers the subject nicely in The Cancer Study in part IV of the book. Dr. Campbell speaks from personal inside experience, having been on some 'oversight' committees, where his professional judgment based on the scientific evidence was overridden by corporate interests.

While the United States Constitution "guarantees" freedom of speech, some big corporations that put profit before ethics, have tremendous control over the media, and thus, the propaganda floods us. Fortunately, when we do some research, we can find a very different story.
Our health and safety require us to become much better informed, to question the popular claims, to use common sense, and do research. As long as the Internet says free, we can access a lot of information.
